Renovating the studio – part 17

Roof insulation went in today, ceiling was boarded out, interior walls were scratch coated, and gutter was put up.

The intent was acoustic insulation, but it was unavailable in the thickness desired, so regular rock wool was installed instead. Other issue to wort is the guttering – the downpipe is now too short, and itโ€™s metal. May end up getting new guttering, and changing the guttering at the front of the house to match.

We will also need to install a hatch in the ceiling boards to give access to the area where the Velux power cable needs to meet the mains supply in a junction box.
