Renovating the studio – part 13

Scratch coat went on today, window installed, and the top of the garden wall has been cemented.

Found a local company that would take the old windows away for recycling; less than an hour between me calling them and the collection. Builder is going to take the old door tomorrow probably, and an older wooden shed that I don’t want out front any more.

They spent several hours getting the other side of the party wall re-covered, so that the neighbour doesn’t have old cement walls with a very obvious new bit on top. It’s on my wallet, but in the interests of neighbourly harmony, it’s worth it. Turns out you add a bit of lime to the mix to get it to smooth out easily.
