Yesterday was the 2022 regatta at the DMYC – we had to skip the 2020 one for obvious reasons. I hadn’t heard about any arrangements for photos, so I decided to grab the D750 with my travel 28-300 lens and wander up the pier to see if I could at least capture the cruiser starts (the dinghies would have needed a RIB, and all of the club RIBs were allocated to safety work – good thing too, the wind was bouncing off of 40 knots in the gusts). Said hello to the crew in the DBSC hut, had a natter, and then proceeded to shoot nearly 800 photos of the starts and finishes (and other scenery).
