Renovating the studio – part 19

All the framing out was done today, and the first insulated boards were put up (50mm including insulation). I asked the builder to put a set of noggins all the way across the long wall at 1.7m from the floor (bottom of the noggin). This gives me a known good attachment point for shelving etc that doesn’t align to the 600mm-centres vertical studs. Tomorrow should see the boarding out completed, perhaps the start of the skimming, and the installation of the surface drain in front of the workshop.

Not the driest of days either – intermittent rain and hail; I’m sure the builder and his mate were glad to be inside.
