Summer sun
As I was coming back from Killiney Bay today, one of the ferries heading for Dublin started blowing his horn. Turns out a speedboat crossed his bow, surfing on his bow wave. Idiots. Lovely day for a sail.

A lovely, lovely afternoon for some single-handed sailing, accompanied by First Mate Gor (good old rope).

A little more Sunday sailing
A bit more footage from today’s sailing. As Neil Gaiman would say, “warning, contains me”. Also contains a bit of radio chatter with the Dublin Coast Guard (not with me).

Sunday sailing
Pottering around, doing 5 – 6 knots (according to the GPS). The camera adds some curve to the roller reefing, but some more tension is needed on the backstay.

Handrails and the coachroof
Spent 5 hours working on Aslana today. Started the repair to the forward hatch coaming; itโll get finished on the next sunny day, so that the epoxy will have at least semi-set when I close the hatch for the night. Today was about 12 degrees C, so just enough to get the first batch setting…
