Today saw the roof plywood finished off, and a polythene sheet tacked down until mid-January. Today was the day for getting the final top bricks on, and sort out the rear garden wall (make it usable). With the new insulated floor, my head just about reaches the bottom of the lintel for the window, so there should be enough headroom even if I have a full helmet/respirator setup on. Michael…

The new construction got up to the lintels today – the ring beam should be tomorrow, once the cement has set and can take the weight without settling. The overall height won’t be much more than it is now; the top row of bricks is the last row before any ring beam and roof joists.…
