Kubuntu Breezy Badger & Adept

With the release of Kubuntu Breezy Badger they introduced the Adept package manager, courtesy of Peter Rockai. I’ve used Synaptic, Kynaptic and other assorted APT GUIs, but I’ve never really liked them that much. Adept changes that feeling for me - it’s a very slick interface, fits in with my desktop environment of choice and just works :)

I never bothered to read the help file - the UI, to me, was intuitive enough. The only complaint I have that isn’t listed in the Adept 2.0 plan is that the resource editor (sources.list) should be a bit more clever, perhaps using a drop down for the type (deb, deb-src). Treating whitespace as section breaks would work too, thus using the same interface as the main selection interface for opening up sections.

I figured I may as well stick up a few screenshots etc, just because I can :)

Downloading the needed files
