I'll be taking the camera, kit lens, battery and any other bits I can find back in the original box (YAY packrat!) on Saturday. Getting the value knocked off of the 30D would be nice, but I'm fairly sure I've not got the spare budget for a few hundred quid at the moment. My options are either the Alpha (same mount) or one of the mid-end DSLRs from another manufacturer probably. We'll see on Saturday. It seems like it's been fraught with "d'oh!" moments, though, like Sony buying the brand a few short months after you bought it, and then the adventures trying to get it repaired... hopefully the store will be cool about it... even if they don't do a straight swap for the 30D, maybe they'll take the KM5D's price off the 30D and then some for the aggravation?
